An interactive strategy board game where players create triangles through clever moves and thoughtful planning

This strategy board game invites children and families to explore a playful challenge that combines observation, planning, and friendly competition. Players take turns stretching elastic bands across the board to connect points and gradually create triangle shapes. Each move changes the playing field, encouraging players to watch the board carefully and think about how their next action might influence the game. The colourful pieces and geometric layout keep the board visually engaging while the simple structure makes the gameplay easy to understand for both children and adults.

As the board fills with bands and claimed triangles, children practise analysing patterns and anticipating how other players might move next. The game naturally encourages turn taking, focus, and shared interaction during family play. Each round becomes a small puzzle where players look for new triangle opportunities while protecting their own spaces on the board, making every game session slightly different from the last.

How children explore strategy and gameplay through this triangle forming board challenge

Choosing colours and starting play: Each player selects a colour and the starting player begins the game, giving children a simple starting structure that helps them understand turn based gameplay and encourages fair participation during shared play

Stretching bands to create moves: During a turn a player stretches one elastic band across four posts on the board, forming new connections that change the layout and encourage children to observe how every move influences the next possible triangle

Claiming completed triangles: When a player forms a triangle using existing bands on the board, they claim that triangle by placing one of their coloured pieces inside the space, helping children connect strategic moves with visible results

Spotting multiple triangle opportunities: A single move can sometimes create more than one triangle at once, allowing the player to claim multiple spaces and encouraging children to carefully observe patterns across the board before making a move

Ending the game and counting triangles: The game ends when no more triangles can be formed or when a player has placed all of their pieces, and the winner is the player who controls the most triangles on the board

Board sizes for different player groups: The smaller board version is designed for 2 players while the larger board version supports up to 4 players, allowing families to choose the game format that best fits their group
